This week, we’ll talk about Eric Perakslis.

Eric Perakslis has made a significant impact through his pioneering work at the intersection of healthcare and technology.

With a background in scientific and technical expertise, including a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Perakslis has played critical roles at prestigious institutions and organisations.

His tenure at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) showcased his ability to integrate advanced computational tools and data science methodologies to enhance regulatory processes and drive cancer research.

As the Executive Director of Harvard Medical School’s Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMI), Perakslis spearheaded initiatives to integrate informatics and computational approaches into biomedical research, fostering collaborations between researchers, clinicians, and technologists.

Perakslis has also been a vocal advocate for data security, privacy, and patient-centric data practices in digital healthcare.
